Salesforce Marketing Next Architect
Hybrid (1x a month on site), 6 Month Initial Contract, £400-600 Day Rate, Outside IR35
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping a major marketing technology transformation. Working at the intersection of Salesforce, customer data, and cloud engineering, you will evaluate the future-state Martech ecosystem and define a strategic roadmap for platform modernisation and adoption.
The Company
They are a large organisation investing in the evolution of their customer engagement and marketing technology capabilities. With a strong focus on scalability, efficiency, and data-driven decision making, they are assessing the transition from Salesforce Marketing Cloud to Salesforce Marketing Next. This project will influence the future direction of their customer data, automation, and marketing operations landscape.
The Role and Deliverables
- Assess the current Salesforce Marketing Cloud estate and evaluate migration pathways to Salesforce Marketing Next.
- Analyse existing marketing use cases, business processes, and platform dependencies to define a practical adoption roadmap.
- Conduct volume and capability assessments to determine future-state architecture requirements.
- Advise on the use of Salesforce Data Cloud as a core component of the wider Martech ecosystem.
- Provide architectural guidance on moving business logic outside of Salesforce where appropriate, leveraging cloud-native approaches to improve efficiency and reduce operational complexity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to produce recommendations covering platform architecture, security considerations, and future capability expansion.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong architecture experience across Salesforce Marketing Cloud and the wider Salesforce ecosystem.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Next and Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Experience assessing and delivering complex Martech transformation or migration programmes.
- Strong understanding of Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and customer data strategy.
- Knowledge of cloud engineering principles, ideally within AWS environments.
- Awareness of cloud security best practices and enterprise architecture considerations.
- Ability to engage business and technical stakeholders, challenge existing approaches, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Exposure to Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) is advantageous.
