The Role
We're looking for a Customer Data and Insights Manager to join a forward-thinking Digital and Brand Experience team. This role is critical to maintaining a high-quality, secure, and unified customer data ecosystem that powers personalized marketing and exceptional customer experiences.
You'll bridge data management and insights, combining technical skills with strategic thinking to ensure customer data flows seamlessly across systems, segmentation drives targeted campaigns, and stakeholders have access to meaningful customer analytics.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the flow of customer data between CRM systems, CDPs, ecommerce platforms, and marketing channels, ensuring seamless integration and accuracy.
- Ensure robust and efficient customer data collection across all touchpoints (online, in-store, mobile, email).
- Optimize data health and integrity through consistent, best-practice approaches to data cleansing, deduplication, and validation.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify customer trends, behaviors, and insights that inform CRM campaigns and marketing strategy.
- Produce reports for CRM and Marketing teams to enable targeting, personalization, and decision-making.
- Develop segmentation strategies to enable personalized, relevant marketing activity across email, SMS, direct mail, and digital channels.
- Build and maintain a suite of dashboards and reports to keep stakeholders informed of key customer KPIs including acquisition, retention, lifetime value, engagement, and purchase behavior.
- Work closely with Tech teams and developers to optimize customer data integration from multiple sources and troubleshoot data flow issues.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR) and champion data governance best practices across the business.
What You'll Be Working On
Customer Data Platform (CDP) management and optimization - ensuring data is unified, accurate, and actionable.
Segmentation and modeling - creating customer segments for targeted campaigns based on behavior, demographics, purchase history, and engagement.
Data quality initiatives - implementing processes to cleanse, validate, and maintain high-quality customer data.
Insights and reporting - translating data into actionable recommendations for Marketing, CRM, and leadership teams.
Cross-functional collaboration - partnering with Tech, Marketing, CRM, and ecommerce teams to align on data strategy.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in a data management or data analytics role, ideally in retail or ecommerce.
- Knowledge of retail-focused CRM and CDP systems (Bloomreach, Segment, Tealium, mParticle, Salesforce CDP, or similar).
- Strong understanding of data integration methodologies and how customer data flows between systems.
- Hands-on experience with analytics and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
- SQL knowledge and ability to query customer databases to extract insights and build segments.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders around data health, quality, and best practices.
- Impeccably high attention to detail and accuracy when working with data.
- Understanding of CRM segmentation and customer modeling strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to translate technical insights for non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of data legislation and privacy regulations (GDPR, ICO guidelines).
Desirable:
- Experience working in a multi-channel retail environment (online and offline customer data).
- Knowledge of Bloomreach CDP specifically.
- Awareness of how AI-driven technology is being used to enhance data cleansing and customer modeling.
- Experience with A/B testing strategies in a CRM or marketing context.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (e.g., CommerceTools, Shopify, Magento).

- Deep expertise with Azure Databricks, including development, deployment, and platform‑level engineering.
- Strong software engineering capability across Pyspark, Spark SQL and Azure Data Factory.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across engineering functions.
