Analytics Manager - Digital

Salary: Up to £80,000 + bonus + benefits (25 days holiday + birthday off, pension, healthcare, flexible working).

The Company

A leading UK media organisation undergoing a major digital transformation. With millions of viewers and subscribers, the business is investing heavily in its product, subscription, and distribution strategy. The central Audience Insight function brings together analytics, research, and data science to shape decisions across the company's digital ecosystem.

The Role

This is a strategic analytics role with a focus on digital distribution, subscription performance, and customer experience. You'll lead data-driven decision making, manage a small team, and deliver insights that directly impact product roadmaps and commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with distribution stakeholders (e.g., major TV manufacturers and broadcasters) to evaluate how app integrations perform and drive ROI.

  • Build forecasting and performance models to assess churn, retention, and new initiatives.

  • Support a major app transformation project (launching in 12-18 months) - shaping metrics and success measurement.

  • Provide clear, narrative-driven insights to senior stakeholders - not just dashboards.

  • Line manage a team of 3 (1 Senior Analyst, 2 Insight Analysts, plus apprentice).

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong digital/product analytics background.

  • Hands-on with Adobe Analytics (Google Analytics considered if very strong).

  • Advanced SQL skills.

  • Proven data storytelling and visualisation ability - clear, persuasive presentations for stakeholders.

  • Commercial mindset - experience in churn, retention, or subscription analytics.

  • People management experience (doesn't need to be extensive, but confident leading and coaching).

Desirable:

  • Python for forecasting/modelling.

  • Experience in distribution or product journey analytics.

  • Exposure to ROI modelling and commercial decision-making.

Interview Process

  1. Introductory with the hiring manager.

  2. Task/exercise to prepare in advance.

  3. Final stage: Task playback and technical discussion with panel.
