You will take ownership of critical data models and analytics workflows, ensuring continuity and delivery across key projects while contributing to the evolution of a modern data platform.

The Company

They are a data-driven organisation focused on delivering meaningful impact through advanced analytics and technology. Operating in a highly regulated environment, they combine strong technical foundations with a collaborative, values-led culture. Their data platform is mature in parts and evolving in others, creating opportunities to shape best practices and standards. The team works remotely with a flexible approach, prioritising outcomes and quality over process-heavy environments.

The Role

You will take ownership of the analytics modelling layer, working closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure high-quality, production-ready datasets and reporting outputs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and delivering in-flight analytics and data modelling projects
  • Designing, building, and maintaining dbt models across fact and dimension layers
  • Developing scalable data models with clear grain and schema design principles
  • Collaborating with data engineering to support end-to-end data workflows
  • Reviewing and improving SQL and dbt work from analysts, ensuring best practice adoption
  • Supporting the transition from prototype analysis to production-grade data assets
  • Maintaining high standards of documentation, testing, and metadata

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial experience working with dbt in a modern data environment
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to optimise and review complex queries
  • Experience working with Python in data workflows
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, including star schema design and data warehousing concepts
  • Confidence in reviewing and improving others' work, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What They Offer

  • Generous holiday allowance plus bank holidays
  • Private healthcare and wellbeing support
  • Home office setup support
  • Opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact data projects
  • A collaborative environment with strong technical ownership and autonomy
