Are you a commercially minded analytics leader who wants to own pricing, shape commercial strategy and influence the growth of a rapidly scaling fintech? This is an opportunity to join a high-growth subscription business at the intersection of consumer technology, fintech and sustainability. You’ll take ownership of commercial analytics and unit economics, using data to drive pricing decisions, maximise profitability and shape how the business grows. With major brand partnerships, a growing customer base and ambitious international plans, this is a chance to have a genuine impact on a business redefining how consumers access technology!
The Company
This innovative subscription and leasing platform is transforming how consumers and businesses access premium electronics. Rather than purchasing devices outright, customers can subscribe to technology through affordable monthly payments. The business has evolved beyond traditional leasing and now supports a wide range of consumer electronics, including laptops, tablets, gaming consoles, wearables and TVs. Its mission is to make technology more affordable, accessible and sustainable, helping drive the transition towards a circular economy; devices can be returned, refurbished, re-leased and ultimately recycled, extending their lifecycles and reducing e-waste. The business has built proprietary technology across credit and fraud decisioning, pricing, lifecycle operations and financing. It works with leading electronics brands to power subscription programmes and has developed a growing presence in embedded finance; with over $90m ARR, profitability and more than a quarter of a million subscriptions across consumers and small businesses, the company is continuing to scale. Its partnerships include major global electronics brands, with further growth and international expansion ahead.
The Role
As Head of Commercial Analytics, you’ll be the business lead on commercial analytics, pricing and unit economics. Working closely with the VP of Strategy & Analytics, senior leadership, co-founders, Product, Finance, Risk, Sales and Partnerships, you’ll own how pricing decisions are made across the business. This is a strategic and hands-on role; you’ll use SQL and Python to get into the detail, build commercial models and turn complex analysis into clear recommendations that influence growth and profitability. Your focus will be on understanding where the business can create more value through pricing, product development and commercial partnerships.
What You’ll Do
- Own the pricing test programme across the consumer website and partner checkouts, designing and running experiments across price points, subscription terms, upfront versus monthly payments and promotional mechanics.
- Use data to understand the impact of pricing decisions on conversion, churn, margin and customer lifetime value.
- Build robust measurement frameworks, including sample sizing and guardrail metrics, to distinguish genuine conversion improvements from margin transfer.
- Partner with Product to develop and price ancillary products, including insurance, damage cover, accessories and additional services.
- Size commercial opportunities, model take-up and margin, and understand the impact of new products on customer behaviour and profitability.
- Work with Finance and Risk to understand the full economic chain, including attachment rates, claims or cost experience, churn and residual value.
- Support Sales and Partnerships on new OEM deals, building commercial models and helping design subscription propositions that work for both Raylo and its partners.
- Own the pricing framework across categories, incorporating customer segmentation, residual value, credit performance and lifetime value.
- Build tools and processes that make pricing decisions faster and more effective, leveraging the existing data and technology stack.
- Work closely with senior leadership and co-founders to identify the next commercial opportunities and drive data-led decision-making.
Your Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in analytics, commercial strategy, pricing analytics, data science or a related data-focused discipline.
- Strong SQL skills are essential, with the ability to work directly with complex datasets and answer commercial questions independently.
- Python experience is desirable.
- Proven experience using data to influence pricing, profitability, commercial strategy or customer growth.
- Strong understanding of commercial metrics such as conversion, churn, margin, customer lifetime value and unit economics.
- Experience designing and analysing experiments, with a clear understanding of statistical measurement and commercial impact.
