Director of Quantitative Operations

£90,000-£100,000 + Bonus

Fully Remote in The UK

Are you an experienced Quantitative Research Operations leader ready to take the step into a Director-level position? This is an opportunity to lead a team of around 12 people, oversee a £12m-£15m annual project portfolio, and take ownership of the Quantitative Operations function within a highly respected healthcare market research business. The business is open to experienced Senior Managers looking to make their first move into a Director role, provided you can demonstrate the leadership, commercial awareness and operational capability to step up.

The Company

This is a well-established healthcare market research and data collection business, backed by a global organisation with a strong reputation across the pharmaceutical and healthcare insights space. They work with major healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across the UK and Europe, combining the specialist feel of a research business with the infrastructure and reach of a global organisation. The business has ambitious growth plans and is investing in its people and operations, making this a high-visibility role with genuine scope to influence the future direction of the function.

The Role

As Director of Quantitative Operations, you will report directly into the Managing Director and take overall responsibility for the Quantitative Operations function. You will lead a team of approximately 12 Quantitative Operations and Project Management professionals, with responsibility for team performance, utilisation, development and succession planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the Quantitative Operations team.
  • Overseeing delivery across a £12m-£15m annual project portfolio.
  • Owning resource allocation, project planning and operational delivery.
  • Driving improvements across processes, best practice and quality standards.
  • Managing team performance, utilisation and development.
  • Building a strong training, mentoring and succession plan.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a senior escalation point.
  • Working closely with Client Services, Sales, Finance and wider operational teams.
  • Ensuring the function operates efficiently, commercially and profitably.
  • Supporting senior leadership with departmental growth and future planning.

This is a role that requires someone who can operate strategically while remaining close enough to the operation to drive delivery.

Your Skills & Experience

You will ideally have:

  • A strong background in Quantitative Research Operations.
  • Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical or healthcare market research.
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects, budgets and competing priorities.
  • Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commercially aware approach, balancing operational excellence with profitability.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • The ability to manage a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.

You do not need to be a Director already. The business is particularly interested in ambitious Senior Managers who are ready to take the next step and can demonstrate clear leadership potential and the ability to scale their responsibilities. Experience across healthcare-focused market research agencies, pharmaceutical research or healthcare data collection will be highly relevant.

The Benefits

  • £90,000-£100,000
  • Quarterly performance-based bonus
