Part-Time Data Engineer
UK Remote | Outside IR35 | Rate £500 - £550

This is an opportunity to join a specialist consultancy supporting a wide range of data, analytics, and AI projects. Working on a flexible contract basis, you will help deliver robust data solutions that enable better reporting, decision-making, and business outcomes for clients across multiple sectors.

The Role and Deliverables
  • Build, maintain, and optimise data pipelines across client projects.
  • Prepare and transform data to support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
  • Support data integration, migration, and ETL/ELT activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather and define data requirements.
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues and ensure the reliability of data pipelines.
  • Contribute to scalable data engineering practices, governance standards, and automation initiatives.
Your Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in data engineering or data development environments.
  • Advanced SQL and data transformation capabilities.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Apache Airflow, Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar data integration technologies.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or AI-focused data solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across different projects and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently within a fully remote environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexible availability to support project requirements on an ad-hoc basis.
