Practice Innovation Project Manager

Location: Boston, MA preferred (open to NYC)
Compensation: Up to $160,000 base + discretionary bonus
Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite weekly)

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a highly respected, industry-leading professional services organization undergoing a major AI-driven transformation. This organization is investing heavily in enterprise AI systems and seeking an early member of a newly built innovation team focused on redesigning core operational workflows through generative AI and automation.

This is a highly visible role working directly with senior leadership to help shape long-term AI strategy while driving adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the business.

The Role

This position sits within a newly expanding Practice Innovation team focused on identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through AI-enabled workflows, automation, and process redesign.

You will work directly with internal stakeholders to evaluate how existing workflows can be optimized while maintaining strict quality, security, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing operational workflows and redesign them using AI-powered automation
  • Build repeatable AI workflows using prompt engineering, templates, and structured processes
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging generative AI tools for enterprise adoption
  • Develop internal AI playbooks, prompt libraries, and best practice documentation
  • Train internal stakeholders on effective and responsible AI usage
  • Troubleshoot AI tool issues and continuously improve adoption workflows
  • Ensure AI usage aligns with security, confidentiality, and compliance requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with leadership, IT, infrastructure, and operations teams

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or workflow optimization
  • Strong experience within legal services, legal operations, litigation support, eDiscovery, or paralegal environments
  • Exposure to legal technology platforms and enterprise software systems
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI, prompt engineering, or workflow automation tools
  • Experience driving process improvement and stakeholder management initiatives
  • Comfortable training users and leading organizational change initiatives

Strong Preference For Candidates With

  • Legal industry background (required)
  • Experience implementing AI solutions into operational workflows
  • Exposure to API integrations, SQL querying, enterprise applications, or cloud-based systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders
