Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of Python libraries to transform raw datasets into structured formats, including SDTM/ADaM-like outputs.

  • Convert legacy scripts or workflows into modular, reusable Python code using pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and related libraries.

  • Build AI-assisted coding tools using Cursor or Claude Code to automate code generation and support metadata-driven workflows.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize pipelines in dbt or similar frameworks, integrating with Snowflake or Databricks.

  • Collaborate with statisticians, programmers, and data managers to build configurable and validated pipelines.

  • Implement visualization solutions using matplotlib or seaborn for analysis outputs.

  • Support testing, validation, and reproducibility of pipelines, comparing outputs to legacy results where applicable.

  • Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps processes to ensure scalable and maintainable deployments.

  • Maintain version-controlled codebases using Git and Jupyter notebooks.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and structured data standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years professional Python development experience, with strong emphasis on data manipulation, statistical analysis, or automation.

  • Deep experience with Python libraries: pandas, NumPy, SciPy.

  • Experience with visualization libraries (matplotlib, seaborn) and reasoning about which to use.

  • SQL expertise and experience with Snowflake or Databricks.

  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (Cursor or Claude Code) in real development projects.

  • Strong understanding of virtual environments (venv, conda) for managing Python dependencies.

  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) a plus.

  • Knowledge of metadata modeling, regulatory requirements, or structured pipelines preferred.
