A fast-growing, PE-backed consumer business is looking for a commercially minded Senior Customer Analytics Analyst to join its expanding data function. Following significant investment in digital and data transformation, the business has built a high-performing analytics team that plays a central role in driving commercial growth and customer strategy.
This is a hands-on role focused on customer insight and behavioural analytics, working closely with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Commercial, Finance, and Technology.
Key Responsibilities
Customer segmentation and behavioural analysis
Churn, retention, loyalty, and CLTV analytics
Marketing and campaign performance analysis
Identifying customer trends, risks, and growth opportunities
Delivering actionable insights to influence strategic decisions
Working with large, complex datasets across multiple sources
Requirements
Strong SQL skills
Python and/or R experience preferred
Experience in customer analytics within telecoms, subscription, or consumer businesses
Strong understanding of churn, retention, loyalty, and customer behaviour
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Commercially focused with the ability to turn insight into action

The Role and Deliverables
- Lead growth marketing and paid performance strategy, with a focus on acquisition
- Drive optimisation across connected TV, social, and digital performance channels
- Manage and support a small team, ensuring delivery against performance goals
- Analyse data to extract insights, model ROI, and inform media investment decisions
- Implement test-and-learn approaches to improve conversion and campaign efficiency
- Collaborate with creative and partner marketing teams to optimise campaigns for different content launches
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in growth marketing and paid performance within a digital or subscription environment
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and with hands-on understanding of performance media
- Deep knowledge of acquisition-led marketing, including conversion optimisation
- Experience across connected TV, social, and digital media channels

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing value creation team within a private equity environment, where data sits at the centre of commercial decision-making. You will play a key role in shaping how portfolio businesses leverage data, analytics, and AI to drive measurable growth, working across strategy and hands-on delivery.

Their model centres on driving value through operational improvement, with a dedicated internal team focused on data, analytics, and AI initiatives across the portfolio. The environment is collaborative, commercially driven, and offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders across multiple businesses.
The Role
You will work across a portfolio of companies, delivering impactful data projects from inception through to implementation.
- Partner with senior leadership including C-suite stakeholders to define data strategies and priorities
- Design and build modern data platforms, including ingestion pipelines and scalable architectures
- Deliver data collection, transformation, and analytics frameworks to support business growth
- Identify and implement high-value analytics and AI use cases
- Translate commercial challenges into technical solutions with clear business outcomes
- Balance hands-on engineering work with strategic input across multiple projects
- Operate as a trusted voice of authority across both technical and non-technical teams
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial experience in data engineering within complex or fast-paced environments
- Advanced SQL and Python, with end-to-end ownership of data pipelines and architecture
- Experience designing and delivering modern data platforms and ingestion frameworks
- Strong understanding of analytics and how data drives business value
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making
- Experience working across both strategy and delivery, with a pragmatic approach
- Exposure to AI or machine learning use cases is beneficial
- Comfortable working across multiple projects and adapting to different business contexts
