Build and maintain robust, scalable, and beautiful iOS applications using Swift
Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless features
Write clean, maintainable code with unit and integration tests
Advocate for best practices in mobile engineering and Swift development
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
What We're Looking For
3+ years of professional iOS development experience
Expertise in Swift and the iOS SDK
Experience with UIKit and SwiftUI (we use both)
Familiarity with modern architectural patterns like MVVM, VIPER, or Clean Architecture
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, version control (Git), and CI/CD workflows
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Passion for delivering delightful mobile experiences
Nice to Have
Experience with Combine or async/await
Exposure to cross-functional mobile app performance tuning
Previous work on apps available in the App Store
Familiarity with CoreData, Firebase, or third-party SDKs

With executive-level support and increasing product demand, they’re seeking a Director of Data Science to lead strategy, research, and engineering execution across NLP and LLM initiatives for tax, compliance and auditing projects. This is a rare opportunity to drive technical vision, shape an elite ML team, and build impactful AI systems from the ground up in a regulated space.
THE ROLE
As Director of Data Science, you’ll be responsible for setting the long-term machine learning roadmap, leading technical teams, and ensuring the successful development and deployment of scalable NLP solutions. You will report directly to the Head of AI and work closely with executive leadership, product, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and align AI solutions with tax, audit, and compliance strategies to meet business goals and regulatory requirements.

Oversee end-to-end model development, ensuring AI solutions support regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.

Research and implement emerging LLM and NLP technologies to optimize tax reporting, auditing, and compliance processes.

Represent the company in industry discussions, advocating for ethical AI and best practices in financial services.

Ensure AI models are continuously monitored, optimized, and updated to meet changing regulations and business needs.

Implement MLOps frameworks to ensure secure, transparent, and auditable AI deployments in financial operations.

Champion data privacy, security, and compliance within AI models to adhere to regulations like GDPR and AML/KYC.

Drive the development of AI tools that automate tax, audit, and compliance workflows, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in machine learning and data science, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Comfortable leading teams of 15+ data scientists and machine learning engineers
- Demonstrated success building and leading teams that develop and deploy NLP/LLM models at scale.
- Deep expertise in Python, ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), and modern NLP tools (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy).
- Experience designing and implementing ML systems in production, especially with large language models (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5).
- Extensive tax, compliance and/or audit domain experience.
- Comfortable with regulatory compliance processes, risk management, data privacy.
- Familiarity with the SEC, FCA and FINRA preferred
- Proven ability to align technical initiatives with business goals, working cross-functionally with product and exec teams.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and scalable ML pipelines.
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Publication or open-source contributions in NLP/ML domains (e.g., ACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, EMNLP) a plus.

Using intelligent systems and a global digital commerce framework, the platform powers high-volume interactions between millions of users and major brands. Following a significant valuation increase in early 2025, they are expanding rapidly across international markets, particularly in AI. The AI engineering team builds scalable, data-driven solutions that personalize user experiences and equip marketers with actionable insights, all while working with large-scale infrastructure and diverse technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with product managers and engineers to align on business goals, define machine learning challenges, and design effective ML solutions.

Develop and deploy machine learning models, including building data pipelines, orchestrating ML workflows, and optimizing system performance and reliability.

Maintain a robust codebase by writing well-tested code, covering both functional and non-functional aspects such as unit, integration, and load testing.

Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in deep learning, experiment with new model concepts, and run both offline and online evaluations.

Actively share knowledge through internal presentations, tech talks, and by promoting best practices in engineering and technology use.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field.

Over 10 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying production-ready machine learning systems, covering the full model lifecycle-training, tuning, deployment, serving, and monitoring.
- Advertising experinece with real-time bidding, auction models, dynamic pricing, recommendation engines, multi-armed bandits and causal inference techniques preferred.

Expertise in cloud infrastructure (especially AWS), machine learning orchestration tools like Kubeflow, TensorFlow, and the use of Feature Stores in live environments.

Experience scaling out MLE teams as tech lead or manager preferred.
- Commercial experience combination of big tech and scaling startups a plus.
