Looking for an experienced infrastructure security engineer to ensure the security of cloud infrastructure and support Federal Enterprise clients. As the Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will support this company in achieving FedRAMP and CMMC accreditation while conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans.

THE ROLE
As the Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in securing the cloud platform and ensuring the successful deployment of the AI and data analytics platform. You will collaborate with an advanced team to implement and manage security measures that protect Federal Enterprise clients.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Building and working with AWS, network security, containerization (Kubernetes), and working knowledge of FedRAMP.
- Assist this company in gaining CMMC accreditation
- Advise and consult with engineers on coding and application security
- Modify network configurations and security groups
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Infrastructure Security Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
- Recent hands-on experience with AWS
- Strong background in network security and containerization (Kubernetes)
- Experience with FedRamp and a solid understanding of the compliance requirements
- Application security and compliance background, including familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Docker, Python, .NET, and Ancor
- Experience in remediation and accreditation processes for security frameworks like CMMC
- Federal or civilian background and the ability to gain security clearance is a plus

The ideal candidate will have minimum 4 year’s experience with Data Quality and a drive and vision for this new team. You will work closely with Data Governance Specialists, so a comprehensive understanding of governance is a key advantage.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Security Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will focus on providing expert guidance in information security management, risk assessments, governance, and compliance aligned with industry standards such as ISO27001 and NIST frameworks. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, design, and implement security strategies that mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC):
- Design and implement governance frameworks that ensure alignment with ISO27001, NIST, and other relevant standards.
- Develop and maintain risk management strategies, identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across the organization.
- Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
NIST Cybersecurity Framework:

Risk Management:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management into day-to-day operations.
Compliance & Auditing:

- Collaborate with external auditors during formal audits, providing required evidence and remediation plans.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare detailed reports on risk assessments, compliance findings, and security governance initiatives for management.
- Document security incidents, non-compliance issues, and corrective actions taken to ensure continual compliance.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Consultant with a focus on ISO27001, NIST, and risk management frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO27001 implementation, audits, and continual improvement processes.
- Hands-on experience with NIST CSF, including assessment and control implementation.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks, along with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
