THE ROLE:

This role requires a hybrid candidate who is strong with data quality as well as having the ability to assist with backlog. Such as back-end work on SQL or Excel and creating visualisations with Power BI

THE ROLE:

About the Role
This role involves leading and managing data governance activities across the organization, with a focus on improving data quality and managing key information assets. The goal is to enhance the overall data and governance maturity of the company. The individual in this role will ensure adherence to the enterprise data governance framework, which covers data policies, standards, and practices, in order to achieve the necessary levels of consistency and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Enforcing the data governance framework, which includes ownership, onboarding, standards, rules, and processes.
  • Leading data governance committees to ensure decision-making around data evolves to meet business needs.
  • Collaborating with technology and architecture teams to manage changes within the data catalog and data quality.
  • Creating and agreeing on metrics to measure data governance and quality, providing actionable insights to drive a proactive approach.
  • Training and educating data stewards and owners on data governance and quality management practices through the governance framework.
  • Facilitating workshops and meetings across business areas for onboarding, improvement, and raising the profile of data governance.
  • Assisting in managing the data quality roadmap.
  • Proactively analyzing and profiling current data, identifying and tracking data quality issues, and suggesting areas for improvement.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and creation of scalable, future-ready data and metadata infrastructure.
  • Foster a strong curiosity for data, actively seeking new data sources and connections to drive the company’s vision forward.
