Data Governance Manager

Salary: up to £55,000

Based: Birmingham – hybrid, 3x week in office

About the Role

This established banking organisation is looking for a hands-on Data Governance Manager to join our lean and collaborative data team. This role is vital in re-establishing and embedding governance processes, engaging with project managers and business teams, and supporting our data privacy obligations.

What You’ll Do

• Drive the delivery of data governance activities across business units
• Work closely with the Head of Data Governance on documentation and reporting
• Complete and manage data privacy assessments
• Gather and validate control documents and ensure SME approvals
• Support tool deployment and integration (including Ab Initio)

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years in a data governance or data quality role
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g. banking, insurance)
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of data privacy frameworks (e.g. GDPR, DSARs, DPIAs)
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment

Head of Data – £120,000 + Private Health + Free Lunch | London (Hybrid, 4 days onsite)

After the current Head of Data moved on to travel the world, the club is now investing in a permanent data leader to take ownership of its growing data platform and fan data strategy.

What you’ll do

• Lead the data strategy – ensure engineers, analysts, and business teams have what they need to deliver value.

• Evolve a centralised data platform (GCP) integrating data from merchandise, ticketing, digital, and more – across batch and real-time pipelines.

• Act as the SME for infrastructure design, governance, and compliance frameworks.

• Oversee reporting and insights across Power BI and Omni (a modern BI tool similar to Looker), defining and standardising KPIs.

• Drive predictive analytics and machine learning initiatives, such as customer lifetime value and propensity modelling.

• Partner cross-functionally to support commercial teams – hospitality, retail, fan engagement, digital, and finance.

Business Development Director

Overview

A boutique analytics consultancy is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead commercial growth and new client acquisition. The firm specialises in data-driven marketing and analytics solutions for clients in financial services, asset management, and professional education.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created role reporting directly to the founder. You’ll build and execute a structured business development function from the ground up – designing strategy, identifying opportunities, and driving new client revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a targeted new business strategy aligned to company growth goals.

• Strong ability to translate complex or technical propositions into clear commercial outcomes.

• Experience building or formalising a BD function and introducing structured lead-generation processes.

• Confident operating at C-suite level and comfortable working autonomously in a small, entrepreneurial team.
