The Role

As the Head of Engineering (AI), you’ll be the first senior technical hire in the U.S., reporting directly to the Founder/CEO and NYC-based Managing Director. Key Responsibilities

  • Architect full-stack, production-ready platforms across backend, frontend, and AI infrastructure
  • Build and lead the development of LLM-based applications and internal AI tools
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines, testing protocols, documentation standards, and engineering workflows
  • Design and manage scalable cloud environments (local, staging, production)
  • Implement and oversee AI infrastructure for prompt engineering, vector search, embeddings, and RAG
  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a technical team spanning software, AI, and data

What We’re Looking For

  • Expertise in modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps (Docker, CI/CD, etc.)

The team is made up of seasoned ML professionals from Top Companies, and they are partnered with major cloud providers to bring novel AI products to market. This role will be central to building and scaling ML-powered products, with a focus on ad optimization and recommendation systems.

Role:

  • Design, build, and deploy end-to-end machine learning models focused on ad optimization, personalization use cases and recommendation systems.
  • Develop ML pipelines and production systems that leverage rich behavioral signals to drive user value and business ROI.
  • Partner with product and R&D teams to ideate and execute on high-impact, ML-first product strategies.
  • Lead experimentation and model evaluation in a fast-paced, data-rich environment.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable infrastructure using tools like Airflow, Spark, and CI/CD platforms.

The Opportunity

As the Director of AI Engineering, you’ll play a hands-on role in building and delivering high-impact AI solutions while laying the foundation for a growing AI practice. What You’ll Do
