We're working with a large, established organisation that is investing heavily in the modernisation of its data platform and is looking for a Data Engineering Lead to play a key role in that transformation.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll take ownership of the design and delivery of scalable data solutions while leading and developing a team of 4-6 Data Engineers. You'll be joining at an exciting stage as the business continues its move from legacy, on-premise infrastructure towards a modern, cloud-native data environment.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the design, development and deployment of scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Managing, mentoring and developing a team of Data Engineers
- Driving the adoption of cloud technologies and modern data engineering practices
- Building out reliable data operations and improving the performance of the wider data estate
- Working closely with Data Architects, Analytics teams and senior stakeholders
- Establishing engineering best practices across CI/CD, coding standards, documentation and version control
- Helping shape the technical direction of a major data modernisation programme
What we're looking for
You'll be an experienced Data Engineering leader who is still comfortable operating at a technical level.
Ideally, you'll bring experience across:
- AWS including S3, EC2, Lambda and Glue
- Snowflake
- Python & SQL
- Airflow or similar ETL/orchestration tooling
- Streaming technologies such as Kinesis

The Role
As a Senior BI Developer / Senior Data Analyst, you will own key elements of the end-to-end BI lifecycle. You will:
- Design and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards, semantic models and datasets.
- Build and optimise SQL data models supporting analytics, reporting and forecasting.
- Develop solutions within Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse and data pipeline capabilities.
- Design and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, Power Automate or comparable technologies.
- Establish reusable BI datasets supporting multiple reporting requirements.
- Partner with finance, marketing, product and operational stakeholders to analyse revenue, pricing, customer behaviour and wider commercial performance.
- Define and standardise KPIs across key business areas.
- Automate manual reporting and improve self-service analytics through Power BI and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
- Maintain strong standards around data quality, lineage, governance, documentation and performance.
- Translate complex analysis into clear commercial insights for senior stakeholders.
- Support developing BI and analytics professionals while helping establish technical best practice.
Your Skills & Experience
You will bring:
- Strong commercial experience across business intelligence, analytics or BI development.
- Advanced SQL skills covering complex transformations, dimensional modelling and performance optimisation.
- Deep hands-on Power BI expertise, including DAX, data modelling, deployment pipelines and optimisation.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or a comparable modern cloud data platform.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouses, Lakehouse architectures and ETL or ELT processes.
- Experience creating scalable and reusable datasets for reporting and analytics.
- Understanding of commercial and financial measures such as revenue, margin, ROI and P&L.
- Confidence partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong approach to data accuracy, governance and lineage.
Experience within retail, e-commerce or another consumer-focused environment would be beneficial, particularly involving pricing, promotions, inventory or multi-site data. Exposure to Power Apps, experimentation or A/B testing would also be advantageous.

We’re working with a major global organisation looking for a Data Platform Engineer to help support, improve and scale its enterprise data platform.
This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring a modern Azure-based data platform remains reliable, secure, observable and ready for production use. You’ll work across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and the wider Azure ecosystem, taking ownership of platform health, deployments, monitoring, incident resolution and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting and maintaining Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and associated Azure services
- Monitoring platform performance, availability, resilience and capacity
- Troubleshooting issues across cloud infrastructure, identity, networking, storage and security
- Supporting CI/CD, release management and production deployments
