To Apply for this Job Click Here
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Technical Product Manager to help shape and scale the next generation of AI-powered technology platforms across the firm. This is not a traditional product management role centered around maintaining roadmaps, coordinating large teams, or managing extensive stakeholder processes. Instead, you’ll identify high-value opportunities, formulate hypotheses, work closely with engineers and business leaders, and drive solutions from concept through execution.
You’ll join a lean team currently consisting of Principal and Senior Engineers and work at the intersection of product, data, AI, and business operations. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving difficult problems, and can balance business needs with technical realities.
This role is especially attractive for product leaders who have demonstrated an ability to operate in startup environments, build from scratch, and create meaningful outcomes without significant organizational support.
What You’ll Do
Drive High-Impact Product Initiatives
- Identify and prioritize opportunities across the firm’s AI and technology ecosystem.
- Develop hypothesis-driven approaches to solving complex operational and business challenges.
- Translate business needs into technically viable product solutions.
- Partner closely with engineering leaders to evaluate feasibility and execution paths.
Build AI Platform Capabilities
- Help evolve existing AI prototypes and successful proof-of-concept projects into scalable platforms.
- Lead initiatives focused on AI enablement, agentic workflows, and enterprise productivity.
- Define and measure business impact, adoption, and value realization.
- Drive the maturation of internally developed solutions from experimentation into production-grade offerings.
Operate Across Business and Technology
- Work closely with investment professionals, operating teams, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business decision makers.
- Evaluate how emerging technologies can create leverage across the firm’s platform and portfolio.
Deliver Through Influence
- Operate effectively in a lean environment where outcomes matter more than organizational structure.
- Navigate ambiguity and independently drive initiatives forward.
- Build alignment without relying on formal authority or large teams.
Example Projects
Recent and upcoming initiatives include:
- Scaling a data substrate designed to support an emerging agentic AI ecosystem.
- Consolidating successful AI use cases and prototypes into a unified enablement platform.
- Defining frameworks to measure AI adoption, business impact, and operational value creation.
- Identifying opportunities to modernize workflows and decision-making processes across a private equity environment.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Founder/Product Leader roles, or similar positions with significant ownership and execution responsibility.
- Strong understanding of data platforms, data architecture, and how data moves through complex systems.
- Ability to work effectively with engineers and understand technical tradeoffs.
- Familiarity with software development concepts and at least one programming language.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems in ambiguous environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a history of building, launching, or driving impactful initiatives.
- Strong analytical and hypothesis-driven problem-solving approach.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building, deploying, or scaling AI-enabled products.
- Exposure to generative AI, agentic systems, machine learning, or modern data platforms.
- Startup founder or early-stage startup experience.
- Experience within private equity, venture capital, investment management, management consulting, or technology organizations serving investment firms.
- Understanding of how technology can drive value creation across portfolio companies and investment organizations.
Who Will Thrive Here
You may be a fit if you:
- Have started a company or helped build one from the ground up.
- Are known for stepping into difficult situations and solving important problems.
- Enjoy operating with autonomy and ownership.
- Prefer building solutions over building large organizations.
- Can move comfortably between technical discussions and business conversations.
- Are energized by urgency and high-impact work.
- Want to help define how AI transforms a modern private equity platform.
You may not enjoy this role if you:
- Require highly structured requirements and extensive direction.
- Prefer managing large teams instead of personally driving outcomes.
- Focus primarily on roadmap management rather than problem-solving.
