ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Data Consultant will:

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong commercial experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, BI, or a similar field
• Advanced SQL skills and strong expertise with dbt
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines and data platforms
• Knowledge of Python, APIs, and Git
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, or BigQuery
• Strong data modelling and warehousing expertise
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience leading projects, workstreams, or technical delivery initiatives
• A mentoring mindset with a genuine interest in supporting the development of others
• Strong academic background in a STEM subject

THE ROLE

The AI team is moving beyond experimentation and proof-of-concepts, with a clear focus on taking successful AI solutions into production, driving adoption and delivering measurable business value. This is an exciting opportunity to join the AI Product function at a time of significant growth, working alongside senior AI Product leaders, AI Engineers and delivery specialists.

The Role

As the Senior AI Product Owner, you’ll sit at the intersection of Product, AI, business strategy and delivery. This isn’t a traditional Product Owner role where you’ll own a single product roadmap; instead, you’ll own a portfolio of AI opportunities, working with senior stakeholders to identify problems, shape use cases, prioritise initiatives and take solutions from discovery through to production and adoption. You’ll be a trusted partner to the business and the key interface between the AI Centre of Excellence and your domain.

You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle:

• Identifying and shaping AI opportunities
• Leading discovery and problem-framing workshops
• Prioritising a portfolio of AI initiatives
• Defining business outcomes and success measures
• Working with AI, engineering and delivery teams to take solutions into production
• Supporting hands-on delivery where appropriate, including configurable AI tools and low-code/no-code solutions
• Driving user testing, adoption and change
• Measuring usage, business impact and value realisation
• Iterating and improving solutions post-launch
• Ensuring AI initiatives meet appropriate privacy, security and responsible AI requirements

You’ll have a high level of autonomy and will be expected to take ownership, remove blockers and keep initiatives moving from idea through to measurable business outcome.

Your Skills & Experience

I am looking for someone with strong Product Management or Product Ownership fundamentals, combined with genuine hands-on experience delivering AI or GenAI solutions.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis or Transformation
• A track record of delivering measurable business outcomes
• Experience across discovery, prioritisation, roadmap/backlog management, delivery and post-launch optimisation
• At least one credible end-to-end enterprise AI or GenAI implementation
• Experience taking an LLM-based solution from discovery through to production
• Strong practical understanding of AI and GenAI capabilities and limitations
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with senior business and technical stakeholders
• The ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear business language
• Experience working across multiple initiatives in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
• A data-driven approach to prioritisation and measuring impact

Most importantly, you’ll need to be able to clearly articulate:

• What AI solution did you deliver?
• What was your personal ownership?
• Why was that approach chosen?
• How did you take it from discovery into production?
• How did you measure success?
• What business impact did it deliver?
• What happened after launch?
• How did you optimise the solution post-production?

The business is open to candidates from a broad range of industries. The key requirement is strong Product capability combined with genuine, demonstrable GenAI delivery experience. Candidates who have worked purely at a strategic, governance or oversight level without significant hands-on delivery experience are unlikely to be suitable.
