ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Data QA Engineer will:
- Test data platforms, pipelines and associated data products

THE ROLE
As a Data QA Engineer you will be responsible for testing the data platform and associated data products while helping to drive quality standards across the wider team.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Planning, designing and executing testing activities across data platforms, pipelines and products
- Performing functional, integration and regression testing to ensure reliable releases
- Working closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers and business stakeholders to identify risks and validate solutions
- Logging, tracking and managing defects through to resolution
- Contributing to testing strategies, quality frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting testing activities within Databricks and PySpark environments
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Data QA Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a Data QA, Software Testing or Quality Assurance role
- Strong experience testing data platforms, pipelines and data products
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, Python and PySpark
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
- Able to work independently and take ownership of testing activities and quality standards
BENEFITS
The successful Data QA Engineer will receive the following benefits:
- Salary between £50,000 – £60,000 – depending on experience
