Harnham are working with a growing and innovative insurance provider that is looking to hire a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join its actuarial function. THE ROLE

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's capital modelling, reserving, and wider actuarial activities. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to business-critical decisions through modelling, forecasting, and analytical insights.

Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Running, maintaining, and enhancing capital modelling processes using Python.
  • Supporting reserving analyses, monitoring portfolio performance, and contributing to periodic reserve reviews.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting and solvency-related calculations.
  • Conducting reserving analyses and monitoring performance trends.
  • Building forecasting and scenario models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborating with pricing, underwriting, and wider business teams on key projects.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Actuarial Analyst will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience within general insurance, ideally in reserving, capital modelling, pricing, or a related actuarial function.
  • Strong quantitative background with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or a similar discipline.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience developing or maintaining analytical models.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

BENEFITS

The successful Senior Actuarial Analyst will receive a salary up to £80,000.
