Intro Harnham
Harnham is partnering with a growing life sciences organisation investing in modern data platforms. This is a contract opportunity to play a key role in how clinical data is structured and delivered.

Intro client
The client is a mid-sized life sciences company building out a scalable clinical data platform. They are focused on improving how data is standardised, integrated, and made analytics-ready across studies.

Role Details

  • Role: Clinical Data SME
  • Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA (4 days onsite)
  • Pay: $55 to $65 per hour W2, up to $70 per hour C2C
  • Length: 6 months (possible extension to 12 months)
  • Utilisation: 40 hours per week
  • Start: ASAP
Intro to role
This role sits between business stakeholders and data engineering teams, acting as the key bridge ensuring clinical data is correctly understood and properly built into systems. You will focus on how raw and external clinical data is mapped into CDISC structures within a modern data platform.
It is a hands-on role requiring both domain expertise and an understanding of data pipelines and system design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Map source and EDC data into SDTM domains and support downstream ADaM alignment
  • Translate clinical and business requirements into technical specifications and user stories
  • Partner with data engineers to ensure pipelines enforce CDISC standards
  • Support integration of external clinical data sources (labs, imaging, etc.)
  • Ensure traceability from source data through to analysis outputs
  • Help improve platform efficiency by contributing to new tooling and processes

Requirements: Must have
  • Strong experience with CDISC standards including SDTM and ADaM
  • Proven experience mapping clinical or EDC data into SDTM
  • Experience working alongside data engineering teams or within data pipelines
  • Ability to act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of clinical data workflows in regulated environments

Nice to have
  • Experience with AWS or Databricks environments
  • Background in data engineering, data modelling, or data architecture
  • Experience improving or scaling data platforms

Outro
If you have hands-on CDISC mapping experience and enjoy working closely with engineering teams to build better data systems, this is a high-impact opportunity to shape how clinical data is delivered at scale. Apply to learn more.
