Senior Manager, Data & Analytics

Finance Transformation & AI
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Permanent

We are partnering confidentially with a global manufacturing organisation operating at significant scale across North America and internationally. The business is investing heavily in data, analytics, and AI to support finance transformation and enterprise decision‑making.

This is a high‑visibility leadership role with regular exposure to senior executives and ownership of analytics strategy across finance and the wider organisation.

The opportunity

You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive data and analytics strategy, enabling improved financial insight, forecasting, and performance management. The role sits at the intersection of Finance, IT, and senior leadership, with responsibility for analytics foundations, governance, reporting automation, and advanced analytics including AI applications.

This is not a reporting‑only role. You will be responsible for shaping analytics capability, defining priorities, and ensuring insights translate into real business impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an enterprise‑level data and analytics strategy aligned to financial and business objectives
  • Support finance transformation through advanced analytics, automation, and insight delivery
  • Partner closely with IT to align data foundations, systems, and analytics roadmaps
  • Lead reporting modernisation, including dashboards and KPI frameworks for senior stakeholders
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards within the finance function
  • Act as finance owner for key financial systems and analytics tools
  • Partner with FP&A on predictive and prescriptive analytics for forecasting and strategic planning
  • Support the creation and coordination of AI governance, use cases, and oversight
  • Deliver ad‑hoc analysis and executive‑level insights to support decision‑making

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience in data and analytics, with strong alignment to finance, FP&A, or commercial functions
  • Proven background leading analytics strategy rather than just execution
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including regular interaction with senior leadership
  • Experience with data visualisation, modelling, and modern analytics platforms
  • Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed environments
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or asset‑heavy experience is advantageous but not essential

Why apply

This role offers the chance to shape analytics capability at scale, influence senior decision‑making, and play a central role in a long‑term transformation agenda. It suits someone who wants ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to build sustainable analytics foundations rather than short‑term fixes.
