THE COMPANY

  • A well-established UK insurer operating across multiple personal lines products, serving a large national customer base.
  • Known for its strong data, analytics and technology capability, with significant ongoing investment in pricing and risk analytics.
  • A business focused on disciplined underwriting, fair customer outcomes and data-led decision making.

THE ROLE

This role sits within an alternative pricing and portfolio analytics team, focused on understanding and shaping the composition of the insurance portfolio. You will bridge pricing strategy and implementation, ensuring portfolio performance aligns with pricing intent and risk appetite.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in:

  • Leading cross-functional projects that address emerging portfolio risks or strategic opportunities.
  • Supporting strong governance and fair customer outcomes through robust, evidence-based challenge.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in pricing, underwriting or portfolio analytics within insurance or a closely related financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret performance data and draw commercial conclusions.
  • Hands-on experience using Python or SQL for analysis (experience with both is advantageous).
  • Confidence communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders and influencing pricing direction.
  • Ability to take ownership of workstreams and collaborate across multiple teams.

THE BENEFITS

  • Performance-related bonus and additional cash allowance.
  • Private medical cover and comprehensive health and wellbeing support.
  • Competitive pension with employer matching.
  • Generous holiday allowance with the option to buy or sell days.
  • Additional benefits including life assurance, income protection and product discounts.

THE PROCESS

  • Initial 30-minute interview focused on experience and role alignment.
  • Technical case study with presentation and discussion.
  • Competency-based interview assessing leadership and delivery capability.
  • Final-stage interview focused on team fit and sign-off.
  • Offer!
