THE ROLE
As a Head of Data and Infrastructure you will act as a strategic client-facing technical leader responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end data platforms.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Running client workshops to understand complex, ambiguous challenges, translating requirements into clear technical strategies and architectural designs.
- Ownership of data infrastructure, ETL pipelines and automation workflows.
- Creating centralised, well-structured data environments from unstructured sources.
- Advising clients on how to evolve towards predictive and machine learning capabilities.
- Staying hands-on where needed while setting long-term technology direction.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Head of Data and Infrastructure will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong expertise across data engineering, data infrastructure and cloud-based architecture.

The Role
As an AI Research Engineer, you will sit within a small but rapidly scaling AI team, working alongside an AI Platform Engineer and reporting into the Head of AI. Your focus is on applied AI/ML research, fast experimentation, and turning ideas into working prototypes that can be adopted by the business.
You will:
- Rapidly prototype, test, and compare LLMs and embeddings for real product and claims use cases.
- Build features and enhancements for AI-first internal products, including their internal AI agent used by operations teams.
- Develop AI agents that support claims automation.
- Design, build, and improve evaluation frameworks.
- Run ongoing testing and monitoring.
- Work closely with Claims Operations and product stakeholders.
Your Skills And Experience
You will succeed in this role if you have:
- Strong Python engineering skills for backend services and API integrations.
- Hands-on experience working with LLMs and related tooling, including:
- LLMs RAG patterns, vector databases, function calling, and prompt design.
- Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform, ideally including:
- Vertex AI, Model Garden, BigQuery, Cloud Run or Cloud Functions
- Ability to turn ideas and problem statements into working prototypes that can be demonstrated to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with operations or product teams to validate AI behaviour and refine solutions.

THE COMPANY
They are a young but highly ambitious data consultancy specialising in data engineering and machine learning. Their focus is helping businesses with recurring revenue models unlock the full value of their data, with a strong presence across investment-backed organisations and the music industry.
THE ROLE
As a Head of Data and Infrastructure you will act as a strategic client-facing technical leader responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end data platforms.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Running client workshops to understand complex, ambiguous challenges, translating requirements into clear technical strategies and architectural designs.
- Ownership of data infrastructure, ETL pipelines and automation workflows.
- Creating centralised, well-structured data environments from unstructured sources.
- Advising clients on how to evolve towards predictive and machine learning capabilities.
- Staying hands-on where needed while setting long-term technology direction.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Head of Data and Infrastructure will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong expertise across data engineering, data infrastructure and cloud-based architecture.
- Proven capability designing and delivering end-to-end data platforms.
- Hands on experience with ETL development, data modelling and data normalization.
- Background in AWS environments and modern orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
- Confidence leading client conversations, running workshops and defining solutions
- Experience within the music industry is a significant advantage.
BENEFITS
The successful Head of Data and Infrastructure will receive the following benefits:
- Salary between £120,000 – £140,000 – depending on experience.
- EMI scheme with option to trade salary for additional equity.
