Job Title: Data Solution Architect
Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Salary: £90,000 per annum

Role Overview
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role at the intersection of business, technology, and insight. As Data Solution Architect, you'll define how data flows across an evolving digital ecosystem anchored in Microsoft Azure and Databricks, with integrations across business-critical platforms including Tableau, CDPs, CRMs, and GraphQL-powered applications.
Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture & Integration
Design and implement scalable, secure data architectures across cloud platforms.
Lead integration of key tools including Tableau (BI), Cortex (CDP), MS Dynamics (CRM), and GraphQL for real-time data access.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
Manage a team of six data and CRM professionals (with plans to expand).
Act as the main conduit between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure cohesive and value-driven solutions.
Governance & Performance
Define and enforce data governance practices.
Optimise platform performance and resource efficiency across the cloud data stack.
Platform Ownership & Partner Management
Oversee platform configuration, deployment, testing, and maintenance.
Manage third-party data agencies and ensure alignment to architectural goals and project timelines.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
10+ years in enterprise-scale data architecture, preferably within Azure environments.
Strong background with Databricks, data modelling, and schema design.
5+ years in team leadership and partner/vendor management.
Hands-on experience building integrations with BI, CDP, and CRM platforms.
Advanced knowledge of GraphQL, including schema design and performance tuning.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Preferred:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Relevant Azure certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

THE ROLE
- Re-developing and enhancing statistical models, specifically scorecards, to drive insight into the customer journey and enhance business performance
- Design credit risk strategies and provide support on wider lending strategies including optimization and analysis
- Provide wider ad hoc analysis and insight into customer trends and monitor the ongoing performance of credit strategies and portfolios
- Working with external stakeholders and collaborating with wider business areas to communicate improvements and really make an impact
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Prior exposure to Credit Bureau data is essential
- Exposure to scorecard models is an essential requirement
- Previous experience in end-to-end scorecard development is highly desirable
- Strong SAS, SQL, Python or R is essential
- Prior management experience essential
