Join a fast-growing, product-led fintech as their first dedicated Insight Analyst. With a strong UK presence and rapid European expansion, this is a rare opportunity to build out the insights function from scratch, working directly with leadership and playing a key role in shaping product and growth strategy.
The Company
This profitable fintech business provides interest-free payment solutions for car servicing and repairs. With a Buy Now Pay Later model tailored to the automotive industry, they partner with garages and dealerships across the UK and are expanding into Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands. Having built a strong foothold in the market, the business is focused on scaling through better customer and dealer insight, driving adoption, and supporting international growth.
The Team
You'll report into the Chief Growth Officer and sit within the Growth & Marketing function, working closely with designers, content leads, CRM managers, and B2B marketers. The wider data function includes Data Engineering, BI, and a Head of Data who you'll collaborate with frequently. You'll also work alongside senior stakeholders including the Chief Commercial Officer, Head of Product, and co-founders, giving you a high level of exposure across the business.
The Role
You'll be the first person in the business focused solely on insights, joining a team that's great at engineering and reporting but lacks a dedicated analyst to extract and apply insights. You'll own key analysis across customer segmentation, campaign performance, product usage, and market-level behaviours.
You'll help identify why some dealerships use the product heavily and others don't, define what makes a "good" customer or partner, and work with leadership to build strategies for deeper engagement and adoption. This is a highly visible role where your insight will directly impact commercial strategy and product growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse user and partner behaviour to identify key segments and engagement patterns
- Drive campaign analysis and offline/online marketing performance tracking
- Work on competitor and market analysis to support growth in new regions
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and data teams to translate insight into action
- Help develop KPIs and reporting structures for customer and market performance
- Work closely with the Head of Data and senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives
Sample Questions You'll Help Answer:
- Why does one dealership process 10% of transactions through us and another just 1%?
- What defines a high-quality, high-usage customer or partner?
- Which customer behaviours drive better product adoption or campaign success?
- How can we increase engagement across new European markets?
- What campaign types lead to stronger activation or retention?
What They're Looking For
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong SQL experience
- Commercial mindset with a focus on actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills to work with non-technical stakeholders
- Previous experience as an Insight Analyst or Data Analyst in a product or growth-driven company
Nice to Have:
- Experience with GA, Python, or R
- Background in fintech, retail, or marketplaces
- Exposure to international markets or multi-region strategies
- Familiarity with customer journey mapping and campaign analytics
Benefits:
- £45,000 - £80,000 base salary depending on experience
- Up to 15% annual bonus
- Full Vitality healthcare and Medicash Cash Plan
- £250 wellbeing allowance
- Cycle to Work & Electric Car schemes
- 4 months paid leave for primary carers / 1 month for secondary
- 26 days holiday + bank holidays
- LinkedIn Learning account
- 25% discount on company products
- Annual retreat for collaboration and team-building
Interview Process:
1. 30-minute with the Chief Growth Officer
2. Take-home task (90 mins, with a week to submit)
3. Technical interview with Head of Data and team
4. Final values interview with CEO/CRO + senior team
This is a rare chance to join a business with real momentum, strong leadership, and an appetite for insight-driven growth. You'll have the chance to build the insight function from the ground up, work on impactful challenges, and directly influence how the business scales.
