Harnham is hiring for a Head of Permanent Recruitment to lead and grow our NYC-based team. You’ll oversee a group of 6-7 recruiters at varying levels of experience, playing a key role in shaping the future of our perm division.
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, sets a high performance bar, and knows how to elevate individuals and teams. If you’ve built a successful desk, coached/led recruiters, and want a role where you can be both strategic and hands-on, we’d love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact leadership role with a dual focus: driving personal performance on your own desk and supporting the growth and success of your team. You’ll be central to decision-making, strategy, and market focus, with direct input into how we evolve in the US.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters focused on permanent hiring
  • Create a positive, high-energy culture that drives delivery and business development
  • Stay hands-on in recruitment and sales – this is not a management only role
  • Support your team on strategy, execution, and client development
  • Help define growth targets, identify market opportunities, and support hiring plans
  • Collaborate with other leaders in the business to ensure alignment and impact
What We’re Looking For
  • Someone who’s successfully run a full 360 desk
  • Experience managing a team of 5 -10 recruiters in an agency setting
  • A track record of building or scaling high-performing teams
  • Energy, accountability, and a passion for coaching others
  • An interest in the Data & AI market (prior experience is not required)

What We Offer
  • Base salary conversations starting between $90k-$100k. We can hire above for the right person
  • Uncapped commission and team override structures
