About the Role
This position oversees the design and delivery of identity resolution, e-commerce optimization, and product search capabilities across large-scale digital platforms. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills to modernize infrastructure, leverage AI/ML, and ensure customers can seamlessly find and engage with complex product portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Define and deliver the strategy for customer identity resolution and session continuity across global digital properties.
Oversee the integration of diverse data sources into unified platforms that power personalization, recommendation engines, and product discovery.
Direct the development of advanced search and filtering capabilities to support complex product catalogs and technical buying journeys.
Establish frameworks for first-party data collection, consent management, and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Lead the build-out of scalable data pipelines for product catalog ingestion, enrichment, and classification to improve accuracy and discoverability.
Implement analytics frameworks to measure customer behavior, optimize search performance, and inform digital strategy.

Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of 50-60 engineers, analysts, and architects, while collaborating closely with product, marketing, and UX stakeholders.
Requirements
10+ years in data, digital platforms, or analytics leadership, with recent Director-level experience.
Proven expertise in customer identity systems, personalization, and real-time segmentation.
Experience with large-scale e-commerce, catalog management, and digital experience platforms.
Hands-on familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, and modern data tools.
Strong knowledge of search and discovery systems, ideally for complex technical products.
Track record of leading large cross-functional teams in high-scale environments.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Managing stakeholders across the business to improve marketing decisions.

Building strong cross-functional relationships to promote a data-driven culture.

Working with Data Engineering to manage data requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
Candidate Profile
Background
-
Ideally from gaming, but open to e-commerce, ad-tech, or subscription/dating apps.

Must have a strong B2C focus.
Experience
-
Proven track record in marketing analytics.
-
Comfortable leading and mentoring others.
-
Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
-
Line management experience (desirable but not essential).
Technical Skills
-
SQL (essential).
-
Power BI / Looker.
-
Data visualisation expertise (Snowflake desirable).

Knowledge of attribution, forecasting, incrementality testing, MMM, LTV/churn modelling (advantageous).
