The Role
In this role you'd leave the data governance initiatives within the company, working cross-functionally to implement data governance principles into the company and ensure compliance
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework across the organization.
- Own and optimize our Microsoft Purview platform to support metadata management, data cataloging, lineage tracking, and data classification.
- Define and enforce data standards, policies, and ownership models, working closely with data stewards and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure data practices align with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, Solvency II).
- Champion data literacy across the company by promoting awareness, training, and clear documentation.
- Monitor data quality KPIs and support root-cause analysis to resolve data issues.
Your Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related fields, preferably in insurance or financial services, industries that are highly regulated.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations, compliance standards, and governance best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills - you're just as comfortable talking tech as you are presenting to execs.
- Experience with tools like SQL, Collibra and Informatica.

THE ROLE
- Own the design, development, and implementation of credit scorecards (application and behavioural) for loan products.
- Champion fair lending practices by ensuring models are unbiased, explainable, and regulatory compliant.
- Use advanced statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g., logistic regression, decision trees, Python, SAS) to model credit risk.
- Monitor and continuously improve model performance, including stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Provide strategic input on credit risk appetite, lending policy, and portfolio segmentation.
REQUIREMENTS
