REMOTE

Insight into the Company:
This organisation is a large telecoms organisation that is looking to change the industry through their flexible approach! As an Analytics Engineer on their team, you will work to build the customer data platform.
The ideal candidate will be a team-player, working in a team of 10, working with and supporting different data workstreams. You will have strong communication skills to work within the team and also with stakeholders. The role will involve improving existing models to ensure they are efficient and scaled.
Role and Responsibilities:
- You will ingest and transform data in snowflake using DBT
- You will support the building of the data warehouse in Snowflake
- You will work to sustain and implement existing ELT pipelines
Skills and Experience:
- Essential to have 3+ years experience in:
- SQL
- Python
- DBT
- Cloud techs such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
- Dimensional Modelling such as Kimball
- Desirable to have experience with:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Kafka; real-time streaming
- Snowflake as a data warehouse
Interview Process:
There are 4 stages to the process:
- A 30 minute discussion about experience

This is a high-impact freelance opportunity for a senior researcher to shape how a large organisation understands its customers, markets, and growth opportunities. You will lead commercial insight work that directly informs strategic decisions, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to influence outcomes across products, channels, and audiences.

The Role and Deliverables
- Lead commercial and customer research across the Customer and Market Intelligence programme.
- Define hypotheses and autonomously structure ambiguous, complex research problems.
- Design and deliver qualitative and quantitative research to uncover customer behaviour and market dynamics.
- Synthesize findings into clear, commercially focused recommendations and actionable next steps.
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to Director-level stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of insight frameworks such as segmentation, journey mapping, or voice of customer.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a hands-on senior researcher, operating without line management responsibility.
- Proven ability to connect research outputs to commercial outcomes and strategic decisions.
- Deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and experimentation.
- Confidence working with data using tools such as R or Python, SQL, and Excel, with the ability to interpret and synthesise results.
- Clear and compelling storytelling skills, particularly in executive-facing PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders.
- Background or exposure to behavioural science, psychology, sociology, statistics, CX, user research, or market research is highly valued.

ANALYTICS ENGINEER

They are rebuilding their central analytics capability, and this role will play a key part in shaping how data is modelled, transformed and used across multiple product areas.
