London (Hybrid – 4 days in office)

A leading organisation in the sports & entertainment sector is hiring a Head of Business Data to lead its central data function. This is a strategic role focused on owning the data platform, governance, reporting, and advanced analytics – all in support of wide-ranging commercial objectives.
Working cross-functionally, you’ll shape and scale how the business captures and activates fan and customer data to drive value across verticals like digital, retail, ticketing, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and evolve a centralised data strategy aligned to commercial outcomes

Own the business data platform (GCP) – integrating multiple data sources across the organisation

Oversee data governance and compliance frameworks
-
Champion standardised, accessible reporting via Power BI and Omni
-
Deliver predictive modelling and machine learning projects (e.g. CLV, propensity scoring)
-
Partner with digital, finance, and operations teams to embed data into decision-making
-
Support and drive key strategic projects – from ERP and CDP integrations to club-wide reporting and fan journey optimisation
Tech Environment

Experience with digital event tracking (web & app) a plus
