THE COMPANY:

Our client is looking for a Data Quality Analyst to come in and define how the business engages with data, establish quality standards, and build a framework that improves accuracy, consistency, and confidence in reporting.

THE ROLE:

As a Data Quality Analyst, you will take ownership of scoping, defining, and implementing data quality practices across the business.

Initially, your focus will be on data discovery and profiling, working closely with stakeholders to understand existing datasets, identify issues, and define what "good" looks like from a data quality perspective. You will then move into building data quality rules, processes, and reporting, helping the business reduce errors and improve trust in its data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Profiling and assessing data quality across key datasets
  • Identifying inconsistencies, duplicates, and data issues
  • Working closely with business stakeholders to define data quality standards
  • Translating requirements into structured data quality rules
  • Managing and monitoring data quality issues and resolutions
  • Creating reports to track data quality metrics and improvements
  • Recommending and evaluating data quality tooling (e.g. Precisely DQ+)
  • Collaborating closely with Data Product and Data Platform teams

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERINECE:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a data quality specific role
  • Strong experience with data profiling and identifying data issues
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience working with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik)
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with non-technical teams
  • Good understanding of databases and data warehousing concepts

Desirable:

  • Experience with data quality tools (e.g. Precisely DQ+)
  • Experience recommending or implementing data quality tooling
  • Experience working in a corporate environment

Soft skills:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Ability to adapt to different ways of working in an Agile environment
  • Collaborative team player
