We're seeking a Customer Insights Researcher to lead the development and delivery of a global CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) programme for one of the most iconic media brands in the world. This is a high-impact contract role where you'll shape how millions of readers experience our products across multiple markets.
About the Role
As part of the central Insights function, you will be responsible for building and rolling out a scalable, legally compliant CSAT programme across key international markets. You'll work cross-functionally with product, legal, and local market teams, and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
Key Deliverables:
CSAT Programme Framework: Develop a fully scoped and documented CSAT programme that supports ongoing customer experience measurement.
Global Survey Rollout: Deploy a live CSAT survey in at least three international markets (excluding the UK).
Legal-Compliant Panel Workflow: Define and test an opt-in workflow with confirmed legal compliance.
Actionable Insights: Conduct at least one full cycle of feedback analysis and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Handover Enablement: Create a playbook or guide to support internal teams after the end of your term.
Ongoing Communication: Provide weekly updates to the Director of Insight and deliver market-specific updates as needed.

Experience in customer or user research, ideally within media, publishing, or digital products
Expertise in CSAT, NPS, or CX measurement frameworks
Familiarity with research compliance, GDPR, and opt-in workflows
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, global environment

THE ROLE
As Associate Director, you will lead projects from design through to delivery, owning insight generation and strategic storytelling. You will work directly with clients as their main point of contact, manage high-value accounts, and help shape broader commercial solutions in partnership with the leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading qualitative research projects using a range of methodologies including focus groups, depth interviews, and ethnography

Acting as the main day-to-day contact for clients across multiple sectors

Translating insight into clear, compelling strategies and commercial recommendations

Managing proposals, RFP responses, and supporting account development

Contributing to propositions across segmentation, audience understanding, communications testing, and brand strategy
YOUR PROFILE

5 to 7+ years of experience in qualitative research, preferably in an agency environment

Proven expertise in delivering strategic, insight-led projects

Strong client management skills with commercial acumen

THE ROLE
- Take ownership of the credit compliance framework, driving high standards across affordability, creditworthiness, collections, and forbearance.
- Be the go-to strategic advisor for product and credit teams
- Shape the narrative by reviewing and approving all credit-related communications, terms, and policies to ensure they meet (and exceed) regulatory expectations.
- Lead the charge on compliance across the entire credit lifecycle-designing and executing robust monitoring plans that keep lending practices sharp and compliant.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least 7 years’ experience within compliance within Banking or FinTech is essential
- Strong knowledge of UK credit regulation, including CONC, SMCR and Consumer Duty
- Good experience working with regulatory bosies including the FCA and FOS
- Prior SMF16 responsibility is highly desirable
