As head of Harnham’s CSR committee, and with 2021 drawing to a close, I wanted to put together a brief note to highlight how we have been supporting our local communities this holiday season. For those in need, the holidays can be a particularly challenging time and so, this year, the Harnham Team have made the choice to donate not only financial support but also our teams’ time, to a number of charities local to our global offices. At our London HQ, we have once again chosen to support Wimbledon Foodbank by helping prepare and distribute food packages, while also donating a number of supermarket gift cards that will allow families to buy the makings of a Christmas dinner. In Europe, our Belin office has opted to work with Berliner Tafel, a charity that collects unsold but fresh food and distributes it to people in need. Stateside, our New York office organised a food drive donating to NY Common Pantry, a charity dedicated to reducing hunger throughout NYC, while promoting dignity and self-sufficiency, as well as a financial contribution. On the West Coast, our San Francisco office has supported their building’s toy drive, while offering their support to San Francisco Marin Foodbank, known for pioneering many successful models design to end hunger. Furthermore, our Phoenix office has volunteered at St Mary’s Foodbank and will be helping distribute food to hundreds of non-profit partners throughout Arizona. Every little bit helps charities such as those mentioned above, and I would like to thank the rest of the CSR committee who have helped to organise these events and all those who have volunteered their time this festive season. Finally, I just wanted to take the chance to wish you all a great festive season and a happy 2022.
