Head of Marketing Analytics

London (Hybrid - 3 Days a Week in Office)

£120,000-£150,000 + Bonus

Are you a hands-on Marketing Analytics leader who wants to build something from the ground up? This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing Marketing Analytics function within a high-growth neobank, shaping how the business measures acquisition, marketing effectiveness and customer growth. In this role you'll lead a team of experienced analysts while remaining technically hands-on yourself, building the frameworks, measurement capability and analytical approach that will underpin the next stage of growth.

The Company

This is a fast-growing UK FinTech and digital bank that has evolved significantly from its origins as a personal lending business. The business has built a strong customer base through digital acquisition and comparison platforms and is now expanding its product offering across everyday banking, savings, investments, credit and lending. With a large customer base, significant investment in data and analytics and ambitious growth plans, the business is now entering an important stage in the development of its Marketing Analytics capability. Marketing Analytics has historically been fragmented across different teams, but the business is now centralising the capability within its wider Analytics function, creating a genuine opportunity for a new Head of Marketing Analytics to define what best-in-class looks like.

The Role

As Head of Marketing Analytics, you'll report directly into the senior Analytics leadership team and manage a team of three Marketing Analysts, with further growth planned. This is not a strategy-only leadership role: You'll need to be comfortable getting into the detail, reviewing analytical approaches, coding and building the foundations of the function yourself. You'll work closely with Marketing, Growth, CRM, Product and Analytics stakeholders to establish a clear measurement strategy and turn complex data into better commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, coach and develop a growing team of Marketing Analysts.
  • Define the long-term vision and strategy for Marketing Analytics.
  • Build and improve marketing measurement and attribution frameworks.
  • Develop a robust approach to multi-channel acquisition measurement.
  • Own app and web-to-app measurement, particularly around paid acquisition.
  • Connect acquisition activity through to activation, retention and customer LTV.
  • Partner with Marketing and Growth to understand what is driving performance and where investment should be made.
  • Improve the maturity of Marketing Analytics frameworks, processes and ways of working.
  • Translate strategic business questions into practical analytical approaches.
  • Challenge analytical thinking and maintain high standards of technical rigour.
  • Work hands-on with data and code where required rather than simply directing from a distance.
  • Help establish the roadmap for more advanced measurement approaches, including incrementality, experimentation and Marketing Mix Modelling.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to senior commercial stakeholders.

This is an exciting 0-to-100 opportunity; there is plenty of historical data and a significant amount of groundwork to do, but equally a huge opportunity to build a genuinely impactful Marketing Analytics capability.

Your Skills & Experience

I'm looking for someone who combines strong technical Marketing Analytics expertise with proven people leadership.

You'll ideally have:

  • Significant experience in Marketing Analytics, Growth Analytics, Customer Analytics or a closely related discipline.
  • Previous experience managing and developing analysts.
  • Strong hands-on experience in an app-led B2C or D2C environment.
  • Demonstrable experience measuring and driving app conversions and acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of app attribution and paid acquisition measurement.
  • Experience connecting app installs through to activation, retention and LTV.
  • Strong web analytics experience, particularly GA4.
  • Experience working across platforms such as AppsFlyer, Meta and Google Ads.
  • Strong SQL and technical analytical capability.
  • Experience working across both web and app analytics.
  • The ability to operate comfortably between senior-level strategy and hands-on analytical detail.
  • A track record of building or improving Marketing Analytics capabilities rather than simply maintaining an established function.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience with Amplitude, CRM analytics, experimentation, incrementality, multi-touch attribution or Marketing Mix Modelling would also be highly valuable. You'll need to be someone who can genuinely do the work. High-level strategic thinking alone won't be enough; the successful candidate will be expected to understand the existing data landscape, identify immediate priorities and make practical decisions about what can be built now versus what comes later. Experience in FinTech, financial services, subscriptions, eCommerce or another digitally led B2C environment would be hugely beneficial.

The Benefits

  • £120,000-£150,000 salary
  • Up to 15% bonus
  • Private medical
  • 7% pension
  • Opportunity to work abroad for up to 120 days per year, subject to eligibility
  • Brand-new office
  • Strong opportunities for progression and technical development
  • Opportunity to shape a newly centralised Analytics capability within a high-growth FinTech
