Company Overview

Our client is a boutique, full-service healthcare market research agency, established in 1998, with offices and presence across five European markets. Following a change of ownership in mid-2024 and the appointment of a new UK-based Managing Director, the business is undergoing an exciting phase of transformation. Specialising in quantitative and qualitative research across pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, the agency's unique selling point is its in-house physician panel, enabling deep industry insights. Clients range from small to mid-sized pharma companies to global leaders.

    * 5 in research; remainder across fieldwork, admin, and business development
    * UK and Germany-based team members
    * Mix of senior and mid-level researchers
    * Recent hires have brought fresh energy, focusing on evolving the offering and scaling growth

The Role

This is a hands-on role for either a Research Manager or Junior Associate Director, depending on experience. You will lead and manage international and domestic projects with a strong emphasis on quantitative research. Some qualitative exposure is expected, with scope to expand further.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run global and German market studies, including tracking, segmentation, demand, and conjoint research
    * Support proposal writing and contribute to pitches
    * Manage projects from design to delivery, with director-level oversight when needed
    * Conduct work across therapy areas such as oncology, haematology, and autoimmune conditions
    * Integrate qualitative elements into quantitative projects where relevant

Projects

  • 80% quantitative focus (tracking, segmentation, conjoint, demand studies)
    * Qualitative elements are generally small-scale or supplemental
    * Mix of global, cross-market, and domestic projects (particularly in Germany)
    * Research themes aligned to commercial strategy, product development, and market entry

Why Join?

  • Join a highly agile and collaborative team during a key transformation period
    * Opportunity to shape the business's research offering and influence strategy
    * Rare access to an in-house physician panel
    * High exposure to decision-making and business development
    * Clear career development pathway with scope to innovate processes
    * Added advantage for speakers of European languages, especially German

Interview Process

  1. Introductory meeting with a senior team member (Research Lead or Managing Director)
    2. Second-stage interview with a task/presentation
    3. Final conversation with another team member (if required)
