THE COMPANY

Our client are an exciting insurance business that are growing well. They’ve gone from strength to strength in recent years and this role is part of their increased presence in the market. You’d be able to work in small team within this hands-on, varied role.

THE ROLE

• Commercial Insight: Driving insight and producing MI on product performance and market movements
• Partnership engagement: Working closely with new aggregators and partnerships to elevate product performance
• Journey improvement: working with product on new offerings, looking at consumer duty and customer journeys
• PCW work: Monitor trading performance, working with pricing and digital to align propositions with market need

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with price comparison websites, either within an Aggregator or within Insurance
• Prior experience in driving insight into product performance, partnerships and wider commercial movements
• Good knowledge of digital trading dynamics and conversion metrics
• Strong communication skills and desire to ‘hit the ground running’

Head of Data Governance

Salary: up to £80,000

Based: Birmingham – hybrid, 3x week

About the Role

An established financial service organisation is looking for a Head of Data Governance – a strategic and driven leader to take the reins. As Head of Data Governance, you’ll work closely with our CDO and CIO to define the roadmap, close gaps, and align governance across business functions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement the data governance roadmap
• Lead gap analysis and risk reporting for executive and regulatory needs
• Build a high-performing team, supporting existing analysts and incoming managers
• Develop, refine, and implement policies on data privacy, ownership, lineage, and control
• Act as a senior advisor on regulatory data responsibilities across cross-functional teams
• Represent governance in quarterly risk and compliance meetings

What You’ll Need

• 6+ years in data governance, data privacy, or risk/data leadership
• Experience building or rebuilding governance functions
• Strong understanding of regulatory data obligations (e.g. GDPR, BCBS 239)
• Proven team leadership experience and ability to influence senior stakeholders

Data Governance Manager

About the Role

This established banking organisation is looking for a hands-on Data Governance Manager to join our lean and collaborative data team. This role is vital in re-establishing and embedding governance processes, engaging with project managers and business teams, and supporting our data privacy obligations.

What You’ll Do

• Drive the delivery of data governance activities across business units
• Work closely with the Head of Data Governance on documentation and reporting
• Complete and manage data privacy assessments

THE COMPANY

You’d be able to work in small team within this hands-on, analytical role whilst also taking on management of a couple of analysts.

THE ROLE

• End-to-end development of some of their first GBM models across the book
• Develop and implement pricing strategies to enhance business performance
• Analyse large sets of customer data to drive insight and commercial performance across their pricing quotes
• Share insight with the wider team and helping to improve profitability across the business
• Manage a team of 2, helping with their development and progression

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Essential to have experience within UK general insurance
• Essential to have had experience building GLM pricing models, ideally using ML techniques
• Exposure to both retail and risk pricing
• Good knowledge of programming software such as SAS, SQL, Python or R
• Experience managing junior analysts OR proven ability in coaching and leadership
