Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Digital Assays Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of a digital assays website product, supporting ad hoc projects and internal initiatives that may evolve into external-facing products. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project that is pivotal to the company's growth, collaborating with a team of R&D and software professionals who come from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and software development, to contribute to the design and development of the Digital Assays website product.
  • Work on back-end aspects of the project, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Support ad hoc projects and internal initiatives, potentially transforming them into external-facing products.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members who may not have a biological background, emphasizing the importance of cross-functional skills.

Qualifications:

  • B.S./M.S./PhD in related field
  • Experience in assay design is essential (PCR specifically preferred). Can come from a background as a bench scientist with hands-on experience or someone with coding skills related to assay design
  • Proficiency in Python coding

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with AWS or a willingness to learn.
  • Basic SQL query knowledge or a willingness to learn.
  • Experience with unit testing.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to build tools or engineer solutions.
  • Creative ideas around assay design, particularly in DPCR.
  • Senior-level experience in software development.

Compensation:

The compensation for this role is in the range of $127,000 to $174,000.
