THE ROLE:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data platform to support the business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain our data platform to ensure optimal performance and scalability
- Work closely with data architects and data scientists to define data needs and requirements
- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
- Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying and resolving data issues in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data is properly processed and stored
- Develop and maintain data models to support business needs
- Implement and maintain data security protocols
- Participate in the design and development of data analytics and reporting tools
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering and analytics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering and platform development
- Experience with large scale data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, and AWS
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, and Scala
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
