Job Title: Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Salary Range: $140,000 - $235,000

Location: San Francisco, CA

THE COMPANY:

This is a financial service company using cloud-based platforms to offer credit to consumers and small business customers. They build Machine Learning algorithms on transaction data to offer credit lines to a company's consumers. They have a strong leadership team that has multiple members that ran a machine learning lab at an Ivy League University. Located in San Francisco, CA but operates globally to solve credit issues.

THE ROLE:

You will work in a small tight-knit team that is comprised of a Director of Analytics, Data Scientists, and a Data Science Manager. You will act as a tech lead and mentor junior members along with leading projects.

• Work with Data Scientist to develop machine learning models and productionize them
• Develop pipelines to compute and store predicted LTV for customers that have recently moved states
• Build models to predict repayment rates on installment loans given the previous loan history of the user
• Combine credit scores from multiple data sets into a single ensemble score that predicts the certainty of a long-term customer
• Opportunity to grow into a tech lead and mentor more junior data scientists and engineers

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 8+ years in industry experience, with 5+ years of building and deploying production-level machine learning models
• Experience with techniques such as classification, clustering, and regression
• Experience with frameworks for model serving (Sagemaker)
• Experience with modern machine learning frameworks
• Understanding statistical modeling
• Expert in Python with experience in Java as well
