THE COMPANY:

You will be working for a major e-commerce company with over 10,000 global suppliers that has become a major player in the market. They are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their analytics team and utilize advanced ML and statistical models to provide insight to senior leaders for business decisions. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced but established company.

THE ROLE:

This role involves developing and deploying various models that will be utilized by 80+ employees across the analytics department. You will be a strategic leader, combining data science & business insights to optimize the growth of the company.

Some responsibilities include:

• Applying modeling techniques like classification, clustering, and time series analysis
• Coach other analysts on designing & testing prescriptive and predictive analytic models
• Define standard practices & methodologies for statistical analysis for the department
• Identifying business needs and designing applied frameworks to help the company's strategic long term goals

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• PhD in a STEM field
• Industry experience after receiving PhD, or impressive post-doc work
• Significant experience in statistics and machine learning - including regression classification, predictive modeling, forecasting, causal-inference, Bayesian Statistics
• Strong technical skills-- Python, R, Hadoop, Azure, AWS, PyTorch, Tensorflow

THE BENEFITS:

The Senior Data Scientist will earn a base salary of $130,000 - $160,0000 plus bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package
