This well-established company is partnering with different branches of the government to develop autonomous systems for all domains - land, sea, air, and space!

THE COMPANY
You will be working for a company that has been a leader in developing new technologies for the government for several years now and within the past decade has really taken off in the autonomous field. This company collaborates with several clients in the defense sector that you will be working on projects for. You will be working in a team environment with people from diverse backgrounds and levels and will have the chance to see projects go all the way through.

THE ROLE - LEAD ENGINEER
As a Lead Engineer, you will be leading one of the company's newest programs and will be responsible for managing the team under that program

• You will be developing algorithms in C++ for robotic path planning and decision making
• You will be responsible for telling your team what to write and leading them through the process of writing new algorithms
• You will have the opportunity to write your own proposals and be involved in grants
• You will be interacting directly with the company's customers

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• PhD, MSc or BSc in computer science or mathematics
• At least 4-6 years of experience in the defense space
• Proven experience with writing algorithms for path planning and decision making in C++
• Strong background in robotics - whether it be working on UAVs, UGVs, UUVs, etc.
• Due to the nature of the work, you must be a U.S. Citizen and be eligible to receive a DoD Security Clearance
