THE COMPANY
This company develops mobile robotic systems used in a variety of environments. They have been paving the way within this space for several years now and have become well-known in the robotics domain. Their systems are currently already being used across the country and are gaining a ton of traction. They are growing rapidly and looking to bring on an experienced leader in the robotics space.

THE ROLE - DIRECTOR OF ROBOTICS
In this role, you would be the head of the robotic software engineering team that is working on the navigation and perception software for autonomous ground robots

• You will be sitting within the company's upper level management and will be serving as an expert within localization, mapping, and/or SLAM
• You will be participating in code reviews for your team and providing insight on how to improve their code and what they can do differently
• You will be responsible for the growth of this team as the company is expanding quickly
• You will work cross-functionally with other teams and key stakeholders to make sure customer requirements are being met and will be involved in the product and software development life-cycle

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• BSc, MSc, or PhD with a strong academic record and advanced research in robotic navigation, localization, mapping or motion planning
• Must have at least 10 years of relevant commercial experience in the robotics space, with expertise in localization, mapping, SLAM
• Must have proven experience being in a leadership position with a proven track record
• Proven experience in product development and project management
• Strong technical background in SLAM, C++, and Python
