THE ROLE

As the Director of Bioinformatics - Imaging, your responsibilities will include:

• Applying machine learning/computer vision analyses to imaging data
• Working closely with scientists to design experiments and support internal and external users
• Managing an experienced group of computational biologists and data scientists
• Collaborating cross-functionally with the engineering & wet-lab teams to improve this company's cutting-edge platform

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

The successful Director of Bioinformatics - Imaging will have the following skills and experience:

• PhD in Bioinformatics/Biomedical Imaging, previous industry experience preferred
• Specialist in working with image analysis (microscopy experience is highly valued)
• Prior management experience
• Exceptional programming knowledge around Python (preferred), Matlab or R acceptable as well
• Strong background in statistics & machine learning
• Ability to speak confidently with scientists (extremely strong scientific background)
