As a Data Scientist on this team, you will be asked to be forward thinking in your approach to applying analytical techniques to advancing the departments capacity. You will add to their implementation for machine learning for both internal and external projects with a lot of room for typical and advanced ML techniques: recommendations, user acquisition. With a rich and varied dataset to work from, you'll have the chance to apply your machine learning and algorithmic techniques to behavioral data that will change the way that the advertisers will perform.
· You will work mostly independently and use your strong analytic skills to finish projects with strong Python coding skills.
· You will be using complex algorithms so strong research backgrounds are encouraged.
· Day-to-day will be about 80% productionizing models for deployment and 20% research.
This role will require a personality that can take on large tasks and can wear many hats with a huge opportunity for growth.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will need to be a proven problem solver, critical thinker, and have an advanced technical background to join this growing, yet experienced team. The successful Data Scientist will likely have the following skills and experience:
· Ph.D. preferred with should dedication to research.
· Proven commercial experience with significant data sets with the ability to code from scratch in SQL and model in Python with familiarity in AWS.
· Prior exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.
· Have a background in computer science, statistics, or engineering with an understanding and commercial experience with Bayesian Statistics.
· Previous work in expanding the use of Machine Learning in a business, with strong experience in the following techniques: Deep Learning, NLP, Keras, and RNN)
A competitive base salary of up to $145,000+ 30% bonus
