THE COMPANY

My client is one of the world's leading marketing companies. They continuously work on multiple fascinating projects, ranging from customer research to marketing automation. Their main concern is the continuous improvement of current methods- how can processes be atomised to maximise precision and efficiency?

THE POSITION

It will be your responsibility to:

  • Analyse customer segments to understand the customer reaction to different marketing channels
  • Automatization of marketing channels
  • Work on Algorithms concerning marketing mix models, attribution models and cross channel performances
  • Understand and analyse key drivers of marketing performance
  • Analyse the impact of marketing activities, customer behaviours and similar to provide actionable insights and present these to other teams

You will deliver insights and reports by using your statistical and analytical abilities, as well as your knowledge of marketing and market research.

YOUR SKILL SET

  • A master's degree in a statistical, mathematical or science field
  • Extensive, relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Very good knowledge of SQL and Python or R
  • Knowledge of Apache Airflow would be a plus
  • Ability to develop ETL scripts
  • First experiences in project management
  • Very good understanding of customer needs

The extent of different digital media channels in the advertising space, as well as the recent evolution of approaches such as Programmatic Advertising, has caused confusion as to which approach is the best for businesses to adopt and for well versed Digital Marketers to reflect on what their next career step should be.  Irrespective, Programmatic is such a buzzword within the market at present and is widely predicted to become the future of display advertising. Despite this, many have a lack of understanding as to what it actually is. However, the supply and demand side are kept very separate due to the difference in tools utilised. Transitioning between the two can be incredibly problematic, especially further into your career so, if you are looking into a specific route, make sure you are making an informed decision. If Programmatic sales, inventory analysis and yield optimisation are appealing, the publisher side could be a great route. Alternatively, if setting up and monitoring campaigns or segmenting audience Data is of interest, I would advise starting agency side.
