THE COMPANY
As one of the global leaders in the communication services industry, this is an excellent opportunity to join a cutting-edge, multinational company. This role will sit within the credit risk team, specifically the credit risk acquisitions team, working across all portfolios to support and protect consumer growth. You would be responsible for designing, refining, and enhancing strategy to optimise risk-reward balance.
THE ROLE
- Support the implementation of strategy and policies across credit risk and fraud
- Design and build the acquisition and risk strategy through statistical modelling and analysis
- Enhance and maintain acquisition strategies
- Provide detailed analysis and insights
- Build scorecards and strategies
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experienced building statistical models and scorecards to manage credit risk
- Specialised in delivering and optimising risk strategies
- Experienced in using SAS
- FCA experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills

This role offers an opportunity to work across a wide range of models with significant variation in your work in addition to the opportunity to line manage and coach a more junior analyst.
THE ROLE
This position would be part of the wider risk and compliance team. Within this role, you would be working on:
- Taking responsibility and ownership for the validation of a wide range of models across the bank, particularly focusing on IFRS9 and stress testing models
- Your role would also include work on decisioning scorecards, finance models and cash flow models
- Challenging assumptions on these models and undertaking quantitative analysis on these
- Maintaining the model governance framework and liaising with other areas of the business
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
This company is seeking someone with:
- Good knowledge and experience in SAS, ideally Python as well
- Understanding of IFRS9 and ICAAP models and prior exposure to these
- Prior experience in model validation in the credit risk space is essential
- Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques and strong data analysis skills
- Educated to at least degree level, in a numerate discipline
