SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Software engineer- Java, Python, .Net - Streaming Company

Stockholm - Sweden

Software Engineer role for a Stockholm based streaming solution company. This is a opportunity to be in early in this team and develop their backend solutions and Architecture. You will be working alongside a BI team as well as project manager to support them and deliver best possible support.

 

THE COMPANY

This streaming provider works together with some well known brands within different market sectors and brands. This company has developed a lot from when they were established and is now becoming a well known brand on the market within streaming and music.

 

THE ROLE

As a Software Engineer and part of the Data team, the role includes:

  • Hands on programming using for example Python
  • Developing and implementing new systems for the technical solutions
  • Structure, develop and ETL of systems within Big Data
  • Continuing the development of their Cloud solution (Google Cloud/ AWS)

 

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Commercial background within engineering (Python, Scala etc.)
  • Hands on experience with machine learning is a plus
  • Commercial hands on experience with cloud solutions like (AWS, Google Cloud and Azure)
  • Experience with streaming tools like Spark/ Kafka is a plus

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our 2019 UK, US and European Salary Guides. With over 3,000 respondents globally, this year’s guides are our largest and most insightful yet.  Looking at your responses, it is overwhelmingly clear that the Data & Analytics industry is continuing to thrive. Harnham have partnered with The Charter School North Dulwich as corporate sponsors of their ‘Secret Charter’ event. The event sees the south London state school selling over 500 postcard-sized original pieces of art to raise funds for their Art, Drama and Music departments. Conceived by local parent Laura Stephens, the original concept was to auction art from both pupils and contributing parents.  Whilst designs from 30 of the school's best art students remain, the scope of contributors has rapidly expanded and now includes the work of local artists alongside celebrated greats including Tracey Emin, Sir Anthony Gormley, Julian Opie, and Gary Hume.  In addition to famous artists, several well-known names have contributed their own designs including James Corden, David Mitchell, Miranda Hart, Jo Brand, Jeremy Corbyn, and Hugh Grant.  The event itself, sponsored by Harnham and others, will be hosted by James Nesbitt, and will take place at Dulwich Picture Gallery on the 15th October 2018.  You can find out how to purchase a postcard and more information about the event here.
