This fintech have recently gained large amounts of funding and are investing heavily in gaining more insightful impact from their massive amounts of customer data. They pride themselves on the simplicity of their pricing product, powered by AI and machine learning. Gaining popularity over the last few years, they’re quickly becoming one of the leading companies in their market.

THE ROLE

They’re looking for an experienced individual contributor, who has developed price optimisation models before, to spearhead projects alongside their wider Data Science team.

This position will involve designing and deploying new credit models, by whatever method is most efficient. Be that statistical or machine learning models, you’ll be expected to take ownership of the projects from concept to deployment, and beyond.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ideally, you will have:

• Expertise in Python and SQL
• Strong knowledge of machine learning
• or higher in a relevant STEM subject
• Experience working in a fintech is a huge bonus – but not a necessity
• Experience in a Pricing-focused Data Science team would be a huge bonus
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills

BENEFITS

£80,000 – £90,000 (DOE)

As a Senior Data Scientist, you can expect the following:

Your Skills And Experience

The successful Senior Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience:

• Great experience in service and network technologies and solutions e.g. AI, Big Data, Machine Learning, operational research, and data-science
• Experience in delivering solutions within an Agile environment
• Strong communication skills including written and oral to be able to interact with executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• PhD background
• Extensive pricing experience
• Hands-on experience within advanced analytics e.g. Linear Regression, conversion, logistic regression

THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with commercial and business partners to drive advanced analytics solutions that optimise and improve current analytical approaches, driving innovation across the Bank.
• Make pricing recommendations through the use of predictive analytics, customer segmentation techniques etc with a focus on PnL and forecasting.
• Use data to drive and build strategies that drive commercial outcomes, using data to tell a story and bring to life your recommendations.

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Coding expertise with Python and SQL
• Experience working in a data-driven and data-heavy organisation
• Commercial experience using advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modelling, customer segmentation, cluster analysis etc
