SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST

£60,000 - £70,000 + BENEFITS

THE COMPANY

This global mobile network provider are looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist to help them better their understanding of customers through the use of advanced analytics. The company's business model is unique within the telecomms market, as they were founded with a progressive ambition to make mobile networks cheaper and more accessible. They now operate in multiple countries and continents, and want to build up their analytics capability in order to continue their international expansion.

THE ROLE

The successful Senior Data Scientist can expect to be involved in the following:

• Using predictive analytics techniques (such as propensity modelling and customer segmentation) to help the company better understand their customer base. From this, you will be helping to identify new business opportunities to up-sell products, deploy more personalised marketing communications, create more personalised package deals and more
• Building dashboards using Power BI and presenting these to stakeholders
• Becoming the businesses go-to Data Science person, and helping drive a more data-driven culture across the business

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will have:

• Significant commercial experience, preferably in a telecomms environment (though this is not essential)
• Advanced SQL skills, and knowledge of a data visualisation tool such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience of building models from scratch in either R or Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to non-technical audiences
• A degree or higher in a STEM subject
