SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

£75,000 - £85,000

This client is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to head up the data engineering function within the business. You will build out the entire data engineering capability and be involved in the technical side as well as the client and training side.

THE COMPANY:

This role is with an AI and Data science analytics agency who specialise in marketing solutions. They are a small company and have been around for over a decade. They work with some household name clients and provide cutting edge data solutions. They have recently shifted into a more data centric business and are growing out their data science and analytics team. The company have also established a learning platform to create and develop the next generation of Data Engineers.

THE ROLE:

This is a broad role where you will lead the data engineering work for the business, support their clients on data - driven marketing solutions, and guide the next generation of Data engineers.

• Working closely with other business members and stakeholders to implement best practice and solution development.
• Building and developing the architecture and engineering processes using SQL, AWS, and big data tools. E.g. Hadoop.
• End to end data engineering management and involvement.
• Educating and mentoring groups of Junior Data Engineers.
• Delivering advice for clients and the business.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Client facing and stakeholder experience.
• Excellent technical background with a broad tech stack. (Big data, cloud, SQL, Python programming.)
• Experience designing end to end client solutions.
• Experience of developing and implementing training materials.

THE BENEFITS:

The selected candidate will receive a salary between £75,000 - £85,000 depending on their experience and requirements.
