One of the fastest growing online (B2C) industry is now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team at their HQ in Amsterdam. As a Senior Data Engineer, your focus will be on further developing the existing data infrastructure and improving this wherever possible, which will have a direct impact on the way the business operates.

THE ROLE

In this role as a Senior Data Engineer, you will focus on creating technological solutions to improve data processing, using the newest technologies like AWS, Python and Airflow. In more detail, the role involves:

  • Developing and maintaining the data platform to ensure compatibility with other technological solutions within the company
  • Working with various (cloud based) tools and technologies, including Python, AWS and Airflow
  • Working closely together with (Senior) Data Scientist and Data Engineers within the team
  • Optimising the existing data infrastructure


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Data Engineer will need:

  • Advanced experience with cloud-based systems like AWS or GCP within a commercial environment
  • Strong experience with various programming languages, such as Python or Java
  • Educated to a degree level in a numeric field, e.g. Computer Science
  • Fluent in English and preferably a second European language
